If you aren’t on Pinterest by now, you are really missing out on a fantastic way to waste your time on the internet. Pinterest provides ideas for recipes, event planning, home decor and DIY crafts among many other things. One of the crafts that caught my attention as a cheap and easy project was a Menu Planner. A Menu Planner can be a great way to keep to a diet, help plan your food budget and takes the stress out of figuring out what is for dinner each night. If one of your goals for 2012 is to get organized then try a Menu Planner to start your year off right!
There were several versions that I found on Pinterest that you may like:
Better Homes and Garden got detailed into each course of the meal with this calendar planner.
Whipper Berry created a chalkboard on the side of armoire in her kitchen.
A Content Housewife made a version with a simple frame, scrapbook paper and a dry erase marker.
Chalkboard – $7.99 Hobby Lobby
White Paint Pen – $3.29 Hobby Lobby
Teal Paint – .99 cents Hobby Lobby
I decided to use a chalkboard to create my Menu planner, it had a unfinished frame so I painted it teal to match my decor. Once it dried, I measured out my title and the days of the week and then wrote my letters with a permanent white paint pen. In total, this project took me about 10 minutes and about $13.
If you have made a Menu Planner, please share yours as well!
